Maria Kelebeev
Maria’s work is about community, about connection with nature and the beings that have to share it. She works to mindfully observe and document what presents itself, be it beautiful places in her Simcoe community or luxury treats that life grants.
She works primarily with watercolour, but also uses acrylic, oil or any medium that helps with mark making, crayons, pencils and even coffee. Due to her curiosity and desire for experimentation, her style has evolved over time. Today she feels close to the impressionists, particularly Monet and Toulouse-Lautrec. Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt are also visual references.
Her passion is to use mindful observation to bring the community together over art and allow more to see the beauty and gifts that surround us all.
